A rat named Remy dares to dream the impossible dream of becoming a gourmet chef in a five-star French restaurant. Brad Bird's second film with Pixar, from an idea by Jan Pinkava, Ratatouille is rooted in a warm, believable world, striking particularly in its lighting and color. The lead human character, Linguini, ultimately drives the heart of the film, and is a tour-de-force in sublime character animation.
